Description

The instrument is crafted from three blocks of wood: a wooden handle, a serrated shaft around which the small wooden plate (feather) spins - when it spins it produces sound. The instrument is partly painted purple and a white out pen was used for drawing flower-shaped dots.

Note

Jela Novak from Šestine, Zagreb, donated the Museum this instrument in 1927. This instrument was used during the Holy week. Such use of similar instruments was a very widespread and most common form of use at that time.
