Description

The lijerica is a pear-shaped instrument. Its long neck and body are crafted from one block of wood, and its soundboard from another. The instrument is very simple, it does not have any ornaments or decorations. There are three pegs on the neck for tighten the strings and for tuning. All three wires are made of pig intestines. A small rosette is carved on top of the neck.
