Description

The ravanastron is a chordophone made out of wood decorated with small white and brown bone plates. The soundbox is built in the shape of an octagonal box covered with skin on the upper part, and hollow on the bottom. The neck is inserted into the soundbox and has three tuning pegs on the upper side.
