Description

The double flute, a twin-bore labial monoxyle flute, crafted from one block of beech wood, with holes arranged 4:3. There are two wooden reeds on the very top through which the air is blown in.

Note

The instrument’s size, i.e. its length determines its intonation. Once it is made the instrument does not need to be adjusted. It is mostly used for solo singing. Due to it low intensity, the instrument was rarely used to accompany dances.
