Description

The diple are made of maple. The diple consist of a chanter onto which an annular part and a stock are attached. Six fields and finger-holes are turned on the upper section of the chanter. The sides of the chanter are cut straight so the chanter is not round.

Note

The artisans from Zelevo had the reputation of being the best diple makers. Širola writes that “the diple from Zelevo really are the most beautiful wood carving handicraft…” (Širola, 1937: 26)
