Description

Small diple with a horn are made of two reeds interconnected with wax. The two pipes are made separate of one another and they always have the same number of finger-holes, also called “bribirača”. In this case each pipe has five finger-holes. Wax is used to attach the horn to the chanter. The chanters are cut at the top and into each a mouthpiece is inserted. Chanters are also cut aslant at the bottom.

Note

This diple were made in Montenegro, near Podgorica. The instrument was made by Tomo Piperović, a highschool graduate from the village Mojanovići. To play it both mouthpieces (sticking out of the chanter) are put into mouth and blown into. This diple is missing its mouthpieces.
