Description

The bučina (gourd tumpet) is made of dried gourd, the bottom round half is cut, it is cleaned using twigs or wire and deseeded.

Note

The bučina or buša is called bušo or pirgeta in Srijem. When it is not made into an instrument, people call it hrg, jurgeta, krga and duganja, and in the northwestern part of Croatia šef. The bučina was used as an instrument during carnival for making noise.
