Description

The double flute, a twin-bore labial monoxyle flute, is crafted from one block of wood. The holes are arranged 4:3. The upper section is richly ornamented in carvings.

Note

The double flute is a shepherd’s instrument which was crafted by shepherd’s. This is why we often find this information in the ethnographic literature: “crafting instruments on the spot and playing them enabled the shepherds to stay awake and pass the time at grazing” (Vojnović Traživuk, 2015: 12).
