Description

The double flute njakara, a twin-bore labial flute, crafted from one block of wood. Each pipe has its own reed and holes drilled according to 4:3 arrangement. It is richly ornamented in herbal and geometrical motifs.

The ornaments on this instrument are vine and grapes. The makers name is carved on the instrument: MARIN ŽUVELA, as well as the location on the back side - VELA LUKA. The vine variety which was used to craft this instrument is etched on the front side: ZELENIKA.
